The intraoral scanning procedure is very simple, completely painless, and fast (it takes only a few minutes).
During the scan, our dentist inserts the 3Shape TRIOS 4 device into the patient’s oral cavity. The device projects light while the dentist gently moves it across the teeth and gums. The sensor records the shape and dimensions of each tooth, capturing them in thousands of high-resolution images. At the same time, these images are stored in the memory of a computer directly connected to the intraoral scanner.
Specialized software then processes the captured images and creates an accurate 3D model of the teeth and soft tissues in real time. This process generates a digital impression that completely replaces traditional impression-taking methods with impression materials.
As a result of the scan, the dentist obtains a detailed view of the dental structure and a highly accurate digital model that can be immediately reviewed, enlarged, and analyzed.
